HOPE Online Students Perform “Circles of the World” at the Denver Art Museum for Día del Niño

April 25, 2013

On Sunday, April 28, a hundred students from HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-Op will dance, sing and display their visual art at the Denver Art Museum as part of the annual Día del Niño (Day of the Child) celebration. The performance, called “Circles of the World,” is a multicultural exploration of people and art across the world throughout history, from pre-historic to current culture.

The presentation is the culmination of HOPE’s “Arts Across Cultures” program, which aims to complement the students’ everyday lessons with the arts. In these classes, they learn about culture and expression, which inspires achievement in other subjects. HOPE is a blended online learning school with multiple Learning Centers located across the Front Range of Colorado. Though students come to class each day and learn from an online curriculum, this arts program is integral to HOPE’s whole-child approach to education.
