On May 10th, one of HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-Op's middle school students, Jaelynn, from Alpha Learning Academy in Pueblo was honored at an event in Aurora for having her mental health struggles and strength story published in a local book being put out by the Colorado Mental Health Youth Action Board, a project of Children’s Hospital Colorado. Only 40 stories are in the book, and it is an honor to be selected. Jaelynn is extremely brave to share her story and showcase to other youth that there is hope in the darkness of life. She loves HOPE and is looking forward to starting high school next year.

The name of the book is Sonder: Youth mental health stories of struggle and strength. Jaelynn's family, best friend/classmate, and staff from HOPE and Alpha Learning Academy joined her at the book release party.
