HOPE is committed to encouraging student exploration through many creative learning opportunities. Drawing from the best of both text and inquiry-based methods, our instructional team is implementing an academic foundation that will range from increasing general knowledge and basic skills to excelling at a high level.

Special Education

HOPE is diligent in assessing each learner for academic gaps and strengths and designing a learning plan. Our team of special education personnel provide specialized academic support to students who been identified with special needs.

Mission and Vision

Mission:

Personalized Learning serves to provide student-focused programming that meets the unique needs of all learners.

Vision:

Personalized Learning collaborates to serve a full continuum of learners where students feel safe, valued, and connected in order to reach their highest potential.

The HOPE Special Education team focuses on direct instruction delivery to our unique learners who have qualified for specialized services. We are diligent in assessing learners who are in need of extra support. We focus on minimizing the gap in academics, building on student strengths and developing individualized learning plans. Our team starts with motivated, dedicated licensed teachers, mental health specialists, speech pathologists and occupation therapists. We continue to aim to provide the best support to each learner who has been identified with special needs by prioritizing our partnership with parents and guardians as we strive to provide a system of supports for our students.

HOPE believes every student can meet or exceed Colorado’s Higher Education Admission Recommendations for High School coursework.  Please note these requirements are unique to HOPE and may differ from the district and/or a previous school.  HOPE offers two pathways to High School Graduation the Core24 Pathway is appropriate for most students and aligns with admissions requirements for traditional colleges and universities, the military, and various trade schools.  For older students who are significantly behind in credits, the Workforce Ready diploma pathway may be a more appropriate pathway.

Work Study  Program

HOPE’s work study program allows high school students to receive elective credit for approved job and/or career experience. Rather than abandoning their education for employment, some HOPE students have their academic potential validated through verifiable employment.

HOPE’s work study program provides a very positive elective alternative for students who prove that they possess the maturity to be a good employee and, in the best scenario, develop skills with which to compete in the workplace after they graduate. Work study represents an important piece of an overall achievement strategy for some students.
