There’s More Than One Way to Make a Difference at HOPE

As a nonprofit public charter school, HOPE relies on the generosity of individuals, volunteers, businesses, and community organizations to expand opportunities for students, and provide them with the resources they need to succeed.

Supporting students looks different for everyone. For some people, that means giving financially, and for others, it means sharing their time, skills, professional experience, or community connections.

There are so many ways to make an impact, and contribution of all varieties plays a vital role in allowing HOPE to continue making a difference in the lives of students, their families, and communities.

When people come together to support students, they help create a school community where students feel seen, valued, supported, and inspired to build a promising future where they can thrive.

Donors Give Students Access to More Opportunities

A financial gift can help create opportunities for students that extend far beyond the classroom, providing them with access to:

  • classroom resources
  • school supplies
  • technology
  • enrichment programs
  • wellness initiatives
  • student events

These funds also help students and families facing difficult circumstances by providing essential items such as food, clothing, and hygiene kits.

Donors also help make meaningful milestones possible. From graduation and prom, to field trips and career fairs, these experiences give students opportunities to celebrate their achievements, explore new interests, and connect their education to the world around them.

There are many ways to give. Supporters can make a one-time or recurring donation, participate in a corporate matching program, sponsor a student or program, or provide goods and services through an in-kind donation.

A recurring gift can also be a meaningful way to contribute throughout the year. Small, consistent contributions become part of the steady support that helps HOPE continue providing resources and opportunities for students.

Volunteers Give the Gift of Their Time

Financial contributions are essential for funding resources, but people are always needed to bring the full scope of those resources to life.

HOPE volunteers serve as mentors, role models, and champions for students. Whether someone volunteers once a week or once a year, their time and energy has a direct and lasting impact.

Volunteer opportunities are available across many areas of the HOPE community.

Academic volunteers can provide one-on-one tutoring or homework support. Volunteers can also assist with classroom activities, reading groups, and student check-ins at one of HOPE's learning sites.

For those who enjoy working with students beyond academics, there are opportunities to support clubs, enrichment programs, and career talks. Volunteers can also help with field trips, graduation, fundraisers, open houses, family nights, and other school events.

There are volunteer opportunities for people at many stages of life, including parents, caregivers, community members, college students, and retirees.

HOPE provides all volunteers with training and requires background checks to help create a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

Sometimes, making a difference starts simply by showing up.

Community Partners Open Doors to New Possibilities

Businesses, nonprofits, and cultural organizations can bring something unique to a student’s educational experience: connections to the world beyond school.

Through community partnerships, HOPE students can gain access to:

  • career panels
  • job shadows
  • site visits
  • mock interviews
  • internships
  • mentorship opportunities
  • work-study experiences

These connections can help students explore potential career paths and understand how their interests and skills can translate into future opportunities.

Community partners can also support arts, culture, enrichment, and wellness. Partnerships might include museum or theater experiences, creative workshops, sponsored cultural events, youth wellness programs, family engagement initiatives, or after-school and summer enrichment.

Organizations can contribute through sponsorships, grants, professional services, technology, supplies, or support for student events and academic competitions.

These partnerships create value throughout the community. Students gain experience and connections, while organizations have an opportunity to invest in young people and contribute to the future of Colorado.

Every Contribution Matters

A thriving school community is built through many different kinds of generosity.

A donor might provide the resources that make a field trip possible. A volunteer might spend an afternoon helping a student with homework. A local business might open its doors to provide an internship. A community organization might introduce students to a new art form, career path, or wellness resource.

Each contribution becomes part of something much bigger: a network of support surrounding students as they learn, grow, discover their interests, and prepare for life beyond the classroom.

At HOPE, the goal is to create an engaging, inclusive learning experience that connects students with the people, resources, community, and opportunities around them.

That work is made possible through a community that believes in students and is willing to invest in their future.

Thank You to Our HOPE Community

Whether you have made a donation, volunteered your time, opened your organization’s doors to our students, provided resources, shared your expertise, attended an event, or simply encouraged our students in some way, thank you.

Your generosity helps create meaningful experiences, provide essential resources, and reminds students that they have a community behind them that believes in their potential and wants to see them thrive.

Thank you for believing in our students, supporting our mission, and helping us build brighter futures together.

Find Your Way to Make a Difference

There’s no single way to support students, and there’s no single type of supporter who can make a real impact.

Maybe you have resources to give. Maybe you have an hour to volunteer. Maybe your business can offer an internship, career experience, professional expertise, or sponsorship.

Whatever you have to contribute, there may be a meaningful place for it at HOPE.
