Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 18, 2026

Welcome to the website of HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-Op (“HOPE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.hopeonline.org and related online services, forms, registrations, fundraising activities, and communications provided by HOPE.

By accessing or using our website or participating in services governed by these Terms & Conditions, you agree to these terms.

1. About HOPE

HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-Op is a Colorado public charter school serving students and families through educational programs, community partnerships, enrichment opportunities, and related initiatives.

HOPE also communicates with supporters, donors, volunteers, community members, and event participants regarding fundraising campaigns, events, student impact, and opportunities to support HOPE's mission.

2. Website Use

You may use the HOPE website for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its systems, or information maintained through the website.
  • Introduce malicious software, viruses, or other harmful material.
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website.
  • Use content from the website in a misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful manner.

HOPE may restrict or terminate access to the website when reasonably necessary to protect HOPE, its users, students, families, systems, or other parties.

3. SMS Messaging Program

HOPE may offer text message communications to supporters and other individuals who expressly choose to receive them.

Individuals may opt in to receive text messages from HOPE through a HOPE website form or another method that clearly requests consent to receive SMS or MMS communications.

HOPE's text messaging program may include:

  • Fundraising appeals and campaign updates.
  • Event announcements, invitations, and reminders.
  • Celebrate HOPE communications.
  • HOPE Angels and holiday giving communications.
  • Donation confirmations and related transactional messages.
  • Volunteer and community engagement opportunities.
  • Updates about HOPE programs and their impact.
  • Other informational communications associated with HOPE initiatives for which you have opted in.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the programs and campaigns in which you participate.

During active fundraising or event campaigns, HOPE generally expects to send approximately 5 to 10 messages per campaign. Messaging may be less frequent outside active campaign periods.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging, data, and other charges may apply to messages sent or received as part of the program.

HOPE is not responsible for charges assessed by your wireless carrier.

Opting Out

You may opt out of HOPE text messages at any time by replying STOP to a message from HOPE.

After submitting a STOP request, you may receive a final confirmation message indicating that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages from that SMS program unless you subsequently opt in again.

You may also contact HOPE at 720-402-3000 or info@hopeonline.org regarding your communication preferences.

Help

For assistance with HOPE text messages, reply HELP to a HOPE message, contact us at 720-402-3000, or email info@hopeonline.org.

Consent

Consent to receive marketing or fundraising text messages from HOPE is not a condition of enrollment, making a donation, attending an event, purchasing a ticket, participating in a HOPE program, or otherwise engaging with HOPE.

Where SMS consent is offered as part of another form or registration, individuals may decline SMS communications while still completing the underlying registration or transaction, unless text messaging is inherently necessary to provide a separately requested service.

Supported Carriers and Delivery

Text message delivery is subject to the availability and operation of participating wireless carriers and messaging networks.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. HOPE cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered to every device or wireless network.

Privacy of Mobile Information

HOPE respects the privacy of individuals participating in its SMS programs.

Mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and consent records will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

HOPE may provide information to service providers that assist us in operating our messaging program, such as messaging technology providers, solely as necessary to provide those services on HOPE's behalf.

For additional information regarding how HOPE collects, uses, protects, and discloses information, please review our Privacy Policy available on the HOPE website.

4. Email Communications

Individuals may also choose to receive email communications from HOPE relating to events, programs, fundraising campaigns, donor opportunities, school and community activities, and organizational updates.

Promotional or fundraising emails may be unsubscribed from using the unsubscribe option included in the communication or by contacting HOPE.

Certain transactional or administrative communications may still be sent when necessary to complete a transaction, respond to a request, administer an event registration, or provide another service requested by the recipient.

5. Donations and Fundraising

HOPE may provide opportunities to make donations, participate in fundraising campaigns, sponsor events or activities, and support other initiatives.

Unless otherwise specified, donations are voluntary.

Information provided in connection with donations may be processed by third-party payment providers or fundraising platforms. Use of those services may also be subject to the provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.

HOPE reserves the right to decline, return, or otherwise address a donation where required by law or where accepting the donation would be inconsistent with HOPE policies or obligations.

6. Event Registrations and Tickets

HOPE may offer registration or ticketing for fundraising events, community activities, and other programs.

Specific events may be subject to additional terms regarding pricing, refunds, cancellations, attendance, participation, sponsorships, or other conditions. Any event-specific terms presented during registration will apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.

Submitting a telephone number as part of an event registration does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing text messages unless the individual separately and affirmatively opts in to SMS communications.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the content available through the HOPE website, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, designs, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to HOPE and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access and use website content for personal, educational, or informational purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, commercially exploit, or otherwise use HOPE content without appropriate permission when permission is required by law.

8. Third-Party Websites and Services

The HOPE website may include links to third-party websites, payment processors, event platforms, social media services, educational resources, or other external services.

These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes. HOPE does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

Your use of third-party services is subject to the terms and policies of those providers.

9. Website Information

HOPE makes reasonable efforts to keep information on its website accurate and current. However, information may occasionally contain errors, become outdated, or change without immediate updates to the website.

HOPE may modify website content, programs, events, schedules, or other information at any time.

Nothing on the general HOPE website should be interpreted as modifying official enrollment requirements, student policies, school policies, or other formally adopted HOPE policies.

10. Privacy

Use of the HOPE website and related services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how HOPE collects, uses, protects, and discloses personal information.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference.

11. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, HOPE does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or that all information made available through it will be error-free.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Changes to These Terms

HOPE may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our website, communications programs, services, technology, or legal requirements.

When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will be revised.

Continued use of the website after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by applicable federal law and the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive any rights, protections, immunities, or limitations available to HOPE as a Colorado public charter school or governmental entity where applicable.
